The Washington
DC Dulles Flight Standards District Office (FSDO-27) of the Federal
Aviation Administration presented Adventure Air Avionics (A3)
with its official Repair Station Certificate on Tuesday, December
20, 2005. The certificate was presented by the FSDO-27 manager,
Mr. Nick Scarpinato Jr. to Adventure Air Avionics (A3) staff during
a ceremony at the FSDO office at the Washington DC Dulles Airport.
Mr. Nick Scarpinato Jr. commented on a "Job well done!"
and reminded the staff that aviation safety is paramount.
Adventure Air
Avionics (known as A3 or A-three) was formed in the summer of 2005
to provide the Washington DC Metropolitan Area with quality avionics
service to small and mid-sized general aviation aircraft. A3 is
currently certified by the FAA to perform the biannual required
certification of Pitot-Static and Transponder systems on a variety
of general aviation aircraft. These tests are commonly referred
to as IFR Certification or Transponder Certification.
A3's goal is
to provide convenient, quality service at a reasonable price. With
this goal in mind, A3 is currently the ONLY repair station in the
Metro DC Area certificated to operate from a mobile vehicle! This
means that A3 comes to your airport, your hanger or tie-down. With
the Washington DC ADIZ, this is an important service to the aviation
community.
A3 has also
developed a comprehensive website. At the site you can read questions
and answers on the FAA regulations on Pitot-Static Systems and Transponders
and find out the real scoop on the so called "VFR FAR"
for transponders. You can also learn about and sign up for Avionics
Training Courses and Saturday workshops on avionics. Of course you
can also schedule service on the website. You can visit http://www.A3avionics.com
to experience it for yourself.
The A3 staff
looks forward to serving the avionics needs of the Metro DC Area
aircraft owners. With experienced technicians that are also licensed
A&P mechanics; your sure to be pleased with the A3 commitment
to top-notch service!
You can contact
A3 at 703-909-8961 or on the web at http://www.A3avionics.com.
